My June Glossybox has arrived! I really needed another Beauty Blender instead of two lotions like many other people got. However the Sumita eyeshadow pencil in Champagne is divine and the Strange Beautiful nail duo is so flipping cute. Planning on painting my nails the red and blue for the Fourth!
Overall, a nice box and I won a $10 cwonder gift card.
Loving my #tlcvoxbox!! Thoughts below:
Great box overall, especially for this mother!!
Not having time to blog is the new blog. =/
I’m happy to report however, that I’ve finally had time to review my April & May Glossyboxes! I received them both in May, about three weeks apart, so it’s still kinda the same month if you think about it.
April was actually my first official box. I used a promo code and got a much needed Beauty Blender with my first box. Definitely a great perk to their subscription service!
On to the products:
The Aqua Spa lotion is nice, and they also gave a $1 coupon to Walmart (which I hate to go to) for a future purchase. It will be used in my purse when my other deluxe samples run out.
The Caldrea body wash smells good however, it can hardly be used for two or three uses. Kinda feel like it’s a one off. It will just go in my travel bag and I will probably forget about it even then.
The LASplash eye primer has a slightly sticky feel to it, though not by much. You only need a tiny bit and it’s recommended for glittery eyeshadows. I have used it multiple times, and while it works fairly well for an eye primer, it wasn’t a considerable difference to my other primers (Smashbox & Urban Decay). I probably won’t be purchasing again.
The bellapierre lipgloss was the only cosmetic product in my box. It has a nice, creamy shine to it and blends well with my other lipsticks. I’m considering purchasing in other colors.
The Ciate nail polish has some of the cutest packaging I have ever seen! I’m not normally an orange fan, but this one really sold me. It has a slight glittery feel to it, and is easy to apply without much streaking. I’m excited to see more from this brand.
Overall, I give it a 7/10. I’m not a fan of hotel sized soaps, shampoos, etc. Quite frankly we all want more makeup in our lives! And the shipping and wait time was really bad. But the nail polish and lip gloss made up for it!
On to the next…
The May box, which I received on May 29th!
This is the Bergdorf Goodman box, curated by products only sold at Bergdorf’s. It also included a $25 gift card, at first glance, I said “what the hell am I going to be able to buy with this???”, however, I was able to get a full size Kiehl’s Daily Moisturizer for only $25 (normally $50), no taxes or shipping! So score on that!
On to the products:
So, I’m a sucker for makeup, as we all are. So I wasn’t completely thrilled that there wasn’t a single cosmetic item. I received the Napolean Perdis primer, while it’s a nice size deluxe sample, I won’t be spending $45 to buy the full size.
The Phillip B light weight deep conditioner creme rinse looks fab, especially since I can use it for my colored hair. I love deep conditioners and I will be rotating with my existing products.
Atelier Cologne smells soooo good in Rose Anonyme! Great to put in my purse for on the go.
The full size ReVive firming booster sells for $400!! I won’t be buying that anytime soon, and with the small sample, I can’t tell instant results. I used it with the Lancer eye contour lift cream, and no noticeable difference as of yet.
The Lancome absolue extract is such a cute sample! It felt wonderful putting it on, however the full size is $200…so I will stick my Kiehl’s in the meantime.
I give this box another 7/10, but an A for effort. Here’s to hoping that June’s stars and stripes box has MAKEUP, and less serums, eye creams, etc. etc!!!
What did you think of Glossybox these past two months?? Let me know!! =)
The Golden State Warriors have reached an agreement in principle for Steve Kerr, a 15-year NBA veteran and five-time NBA Champion as a player, to become the team’s new head coach, the team announced this evening.
Once the agreement is finalized, a press conference will be scheduled.
May ipsy bag has arrived promptly this month! Fresh Picks is the theme this month and the bag is super cute and useable!
Thoughts: wish there was more makeup but I’m not going to complain. The Avene Spring Water is a surprise as I’ve never tried anything quite like it. I plan on using it as a setting spray.
The Hang Ten sunblock will be perfect for my purse. I recently added purple highlights so I don’t know if I can use the Eva NYC Hair Mask but I can save it for later. The Olive Lips works well and you can never have too many lip balms!
Pacifica products generally good products though I like their perfumes more than their cosmetics. However the light brown/peach combo I got is perfect for everyday use.
Another decent Ipsy bag this month!
